System preservation (ghosting / imaging)
System preservation is a way of preserving your entire system in the form of one single file. Some may have heard of the terms taking a hard drive snapshot, ghosting or imaging – they are all the same thing. Why would you want to do this? Restoring a computer (correctly and completely) on a good day can take a computer technician on average 4 – 8 hours, and that is not including data backup. Ghosting (imaging /system persevering) allows that same technician to restore your system anywhere from half an hour to an hour. What’s the beauty of this? Everything is preserved, your pictures, your documents, your websites, your music, your important files, your registration with the operating system, everything from the time you had it ghost remain in tacked. Not only do you save time, but also money.
